Our award-winning tennis facility located in Palm Harbor, Florida offers 10 Har-Tru courts, with seven lighted for night play, three racquetball courts, and three pickleball courts. Innisbrook Tennis has a rich history in world-renowned tennis instruction as well as tournaments and programs.

As a guest, you'll enjoy daily court time, access to our full-service Pro Shop, and top-ranked instruction with professionally certified instructors.
Our tennis activities are for all levels of play, with a wide range of clinics, drills, and socials. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, we have the program for you. 

Gigi Fernandez, a Hall of Famer with an impressive list of accomplishments and notable accolades,  will be responsible for strengthening and developing the tennis offerings – including multi-day camps, clinic programs, inviting notable guest coaches, and more.

Pickleball at Innisbrook

The Nation's Fastest Growing Sport is Now Available at Innisbrook

We're excited for you to join us on the courts. Here are few rules and points for Pickleball:

  • Our pickleball courts are available to Guests, Golf members, and Tennis members
  • Our current rates are 5.00 per hour for Members | 10.00 per hour for Guests
  • Maximum of 2 hours per day
  • All reservations must go through the front desk
  • You can only reserve a spot 7 days in advance
  • Guests are limited to 8 visits per year
  • Paddles are available for rent for 6.00 per session. Balls are available for purchase at the front desk
  • Appropriate athletic attire is required

Juniors

A premier facility for Junior tennis training offering programs for players of all levels from red ball through to USTA Junior Tournament Play. Accomplished Tennis Pros teach year-round with progressive curricula that ensure players meet competency levels through each stage of their development.


10 AND UNDER TENNIS  

A core focus at Innisbrook, 10 and Under tennis helps introduce new players to tennis in an age-appropriate manner. Our instructors have been specifically trained to implement creative and fun 10 and Under Tennis clinics following our unique proprietary curriculum with a progressive structure. Each program is designed to record and ensure improvement within each learning stage, but also to instill a love of the game. The balls bounce lower, the racquets are smaller and lighter, and the court dimensions are to scale for younger children, according to USTA 10 and Under Tennis requirements.

Programs will be offered following the Red/Orange/Green USTA Protocol. 

Titanic Tot (4-5) | A starter tennis program ideal for our youngest tennis players! We use foam or red balls which bounce lower, racquets are smaller and lighter, and the court dimensions are to-scale for younger children. Players are introduced to the fundamentals of tennis with an emphasis on movement and coordination.

Red Robins (5-8) | A tennis program for younger elementary school kids using red balls. The red balls bounce lower, the racquets are smaller and lighter, and the court dimensions are to-scale for younger children. Players build on the fundamentals of tennis with emphasis on balance, correct technique on all strokes, and more advanced coordination skills.

Orange Crushers  (7-10) | A tennis program for older elementary school kids using orange balls. This class is geared towards older elementary children who have a basic knowledge of tennis. The orange balls bounce lower, the racquets are smaller and lighter, and the court dimensions are larger for our growing players. For this program, there is an emphasis on match tactics and properly shaped strokes.

Green Gators (8-11) | A tennis program for players transitioning from the orange balls and smaller courts to full-size courts using green dot balls. Also for older players learning the game that wish to build the foundation to enjoy this lifelong sport recreationally.

Yellow Jackets (10-15) | This class is for players that have transitioned to the yellow ball and are ready to cover the full-size tennis court. This class focuses on all aspects of complete tennis players, from proper court technique, to match strategy, analyzing opponents, and formulating winning strategies.

Once players graduate from the 10 and Under program, they will move on to our 11+ year-old programs. 

 

HIGH SCHOOL JV TRAINING (12-15 YEARS)

For advanced middle school tennis players who are preparing for high school tennis. Players learn strategies on how to compete; game plans to use during their matches and a significant focus on singles and doubles strategy.


HIGH SCHOOL PREP (13-18 YEARS) 

This program is for serious-minded high school-aged players who want to represent their school in their Varsity Tennis Program. 


ADVANCED TRAINING (6 - 15 YEARS)

BY INVITATION ONLY 

This program is designed for players transitioning swiftly through the Red and Orange progressions and who are eager to pursue tennis as a primary sport. Precursor training for Tournaments Training Program and our High School JV Training level. This invitation-only program is reserved for the most committed players in the program. The program is twice a week for group lessons plus supervised Match Play on the weekend.

This program will be for players who are competing regularly in USTA junior tournaments. Players are trained within an inclusive team environment and are generally divided based on player rating. This is the most advanced program and is reserved for players who have committed to tennis as their primary sport.

Meet The Pros

Gigi Fernández - Tennis Touring Professional 
A Hall of Famer with an impressive list of accomplishments and notable accolades, Ms. Fernández is responsible for strengthening and developing the tennis offerings at Innisbrook – including clinic programs, inviting notable guest coaches, and more. Considered to be one of the best doubles players of all time, she is the winner of 17 Grand Slam doubles titles (six French Open, five US Open, four Wimbledon, and two Australian Open, winning at least one Grand Slam title every year from 1988 to 1997, except 1989, and for three straight years winning three of the four Grand Slam doubles titles in the same year (1992–1994). Ms. Fernández has also won two Olympic Gold Medals with Mary Joe Fernandez.
A native of Puerto Rico, Ms. Fernández became the country’s first female professional athlete in any sport. Since then, she has been coaching recreational players for more than a decade – traveling across the country for clinics and camps, working with the Puerto Rican National Team, and more.

Bryan Fox | Director of Racquet Sports
With more than two decades of experience as a tennis professional, Mr. Fox will be responsible for directing and leading day-to-day operations of the resort’s racquet sports programming, including pickleball, which will be introduced in early 2023. Prior to joining Innisbrook, he had served as a tennis professional for Lancaster Country Club and Hempfield Recreational Center in Pennsylvania, as well as director of tennis for Palisades Tennis Center in California. Mr. Fox has also collaborated with Fernández in the past – coaching adult clinics through her own program. In his career, he has served as the hitting partner for professional female players in the 2009 U.S. Open and played a variety of professional tournaments and circuits.

Judi Alford – Head Tennis Professional
Judi has over 25 years of experience working in resorts, hotels, and tennis clubs. Judi has a USPTR Professional Certification. Originally from the UK, Judi started playing tennis at the age of 10. Growing up playing many LTA ( Lawn Tennis Association ) Junior Tournaments, High School and College Tennis, reaching the National Finals in 1992 and 94, at the prestigious Queens Club in West Kensington, London.

2013 - # 1 National Ranking Mixed doubles over 35's
2014 - Team National Champions 4.5 level
2016 - # 8 National Ranking Husband/Wife, winning a Bronze Ball in Charlotte, NC.
Judi works to bring out the joy and passion in children and adults as they progress through the game both skillfully and tactically.

Greg Houck- Tennis Professional
Born in Evreux, France Greg grew up in northwest Indiana, where he began playing tennis at age 12. He attended Easton Senior High School where Greg played number 1 singles for the Varsity Team. He reached a junior ranking of 5 in the Midwest and received a Tennis scholarship to The University of Evansville.
After college Greg still played competitive Open tennis but, discovered a passion to teach the game. He has been teaching for over 30 years from strict beginners to advanced players. Greg has been a Head Coach at both High School and Collegiate levels and is a USPTA Elite instructor. He is married to his lovely wife Michele and has two wonderful daughters Gabrielle and Isabelle.

Linda Thomson- Tennis Professional
Linda Thomson has been a Tennis Professional at Innisbrook Golf and Resort for the past 10 years. Linda is a certified USPTA Elite Professional, who is qualified to coach students of all ages. However, her primary passion and enthusiasm are teaching children tennis with a game-based style.
Linda is also a certified Registered Nurse with over 34 years of experience with a multitude of certifications including CPR, advance cardiac life support, stroke, and progressive care.
Linda’s most recent tennis accomplishment: Organized “Stroke4Stroke” charity tennis tournament that raised over $22,000 for stroke awareness and prevention, and 2014 18 & Over 4.5 level Women’s Team National Championship.

Craig "Jockomo" Brown, PhT - Associate Tennis Professional & Physiotherapy/Biomechanical Consultant

With over 30 years of experience in the tennis and physio industries, Craig joins the Innisbrook Tennis Team from Greenville, SC. Craig was the owner and developer of a successful Integrative Medicine Practice bringing Sports Medicine/Therapy/Nutrition to the courts for junior athletes, college athletes and professional players for all sports. Craig’s passion is providing our members and guests the same level of expertise on the courts as well as off the courts, with instructional lessons, clinics, and programs for all ages. Craig attended Grambling State and Georgia State University in the field of exercise physiology, athletics training and physical therapy while being a member of the tennis team. Craig continued to play professional tennis on Satellite and Invitational Tour while studying Integrative Medicine at University of Miami Medical School (R&D Program), Columbia University (Pain Management) and Harvard Medical School (Complementary & Alternative Medicine.
