    Bill McKay, Director of Sales & Marketing

    Bill McKay is the Director of Sales & Marketing at Innisbrook, a Salamander Golf & Spa Resort.  The 27-year hotel industry veteran directs all marketing and sales strategies overseeing all golf and group sales, as well as catering and revenue management.  Before joining Salamander Hotels and Resorts, Bill held various sales and marketing positions with Hyatt Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Gaylord Hotels, KSL Resorts and with several convention and visitor bureaus in Charlotte, Little Rock and Savannah.  In addition, Bill spent six years in the initial start up, with the Nashville Predators and in the first five seasons securing corporate partnerships and sponsors for the NHL franchise. Bill spends his free time on his John Deere tractor or at a hockey rink watching his 15 year old “Goalie“ son play hockey.

    Doug Schmidt, Regional Sales Manager

    Doug came to Innisbrook in August of 2003 and has served as Director of Membership and has overseen golf sales and corporate meetings. Before coming to Florida Doug owned and operated Charleston Golf Partners a premier golf travel company serving Charleston, South Carolina and resorts including Kiawah Island, Wild Dunes and Seabrook Island. Doug also served as the President of Kemper Sports Management that leases and manages golf properties.

    Doug was instrumental in the development of Royal Melbourne Country Club in Long Grove, Illinois and successfully sold out membership prior to the club's opening, raising more than $13 million. Doug served as Vice Chairman of the 1989 PGA Championship at Kemper Lakes and helped reinvent the Grand Slam of Golf. Doug is Vice Chairman of the Innisbrook Board of Governors and Director of the Western Golf Association. Doug’s passions include playing and watching sports, fishing and reading.

    Darrien Herning, Regional Sales Manager

    Darrien represents Innisbrook Golf Resort in Palm Harbor, Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, and Reunion Resort in Orlando. Darrien comes from a hospitality family and has always been drawn to travel and exciting destinations. She is active in the Tampa Bay chapter of MPI and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. Darrien want her clients to know she can offer three distinct resort meeting settings throughout Florida, all with one call. Each delivers successful and memorable experiences for our groups. Work.     With 16 years of sales experience, specializing in corporate and association markets, Julie Kissel joins the Salamander team from the Westin Resort & Casino in Aruba. She’s had a successful career with Marriott International as well as PGA National Resort & Spa and Turnberry Isle. Julie is an active member of Florida Society of Association Executives. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Recreation & Hospitality Management from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southern University.

    Karen Niederdorfer, Regional Sales Manager

    Bringing over 22 years in the hospitality industry to the team, Karen started her career in New England working for such brands as Hilton, Marriott and Sheraton hotels. In Orlando, Karen worked at the Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld, was on the opening team of the Hilton Orlando at the Convention Center and most recently with Waterford Venue Services representing the Connecticut Convention Center as a remote National Sales Manager. The University of Hartford graduate has been an active member of Professional Convention Management Association, Meeting Professionals International, Healthcare Convention and Exhibitors Association as well as the American Society of Association Executives. Primarily managing the Florida State Association Market, Karen has recently joined the Florida Society of Association Executives.

    Summer joined Hammock Beach team in October of 2014 and comes from the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, GA where she has been a Sales Manager for the past six years. Summer is a native Floridian and graduated from Florida State University. When she is not working, Summer enjoys the beach and spending time with her son.

    Bringing over 22 years in the hospitality industry to the team, Stephen’s day-to-day focus is with the Southeast Region, Washington and Oregon. An active member of GSAE, GaMPI, and SITE, Mr. Baker’s southern charm has earned him honors including Employee of the Year and the Sales Manager of the Year Award at various properties throughout his career. A proud alumnus of Clemson University, Stephen also has his Florida real estate license.

Jackie’s extensive knowledge in both the Corporate and Association Markets provide her with a finely tuned understanding of a group’s requirements for a successful & memorable program.

    Kim Harvey, National Account Director

    Kim has spent her 22 year career primarily in the NE market, having been born in New York City and called it home her entire life. Kim was with Doral Arrowwood Conference Resort for 20 years, as well as Morgans Hotel Group and Caesars Entertainment, and she serves on the Board of Directors for MPI.
    Kim, husband Eric, their three children and Boxer Roxie call Westchester home, and enjoy spending as much free time as possible on Lake St. Catherine in Vermont.

    Kelly Merryfield, National Director of Leisure Sales

    With 20 years of experience in luxury hotel sales, Kelly began her hospitality career in New York at the Waldorf-Astoria. She spent several years in various hotel sales positions while in New York including sales manager, associate director of sales and regional director of sales all at The Peninsula New York. In 2007 Kelly joined Trump International Hotel & Tower as the director of sales and marketing followed by the director of entertainment and leisure sales at The New York Palace. A seasoned hospitality veteran, Kelly joined the Salamander team in March 2013 bringing with her years of knowledge, leadership and positive energy.

Patrick's extensive knowledge and expertise in building and selling golf packages is essential in leading Grand Golf Resorts of Florida as a top golfing destination. Patrick brings years of hospitality knowledge to Innisbrook and the Grand Golf Resorts of Florida excelling in exceeding Golf Package Sales year over year. Patrick enjoys watching his 14 year old son play and excel in the sport he loves, baseball.

    Drew Dosek, Golf Sales Manager

    Drew serves as Golf Sales Manager for the Grand Golf Resorts of Florida where he books and coordinates golf outings for groups of 12 to 250. Drew is actively involved attending golf trade shows and marketing all three golf resorts as the top golf destinations of Florida. Drew brings great energy to Innisbrook where he continues to broaden his current knowledge on golf industry trends and marketing campaigns to increase sales and surpass his goals. Drew is a graduate of North Carolina State University and has been rewarded with outstanding customer service awards in his past positions over his last 10 years in hospitality. Besides playing golf in his spare time, Drew enjoys playing poker and attending various pro and college sport events.

Tim's focus is ensuring the success of each and every group's program. Tim has the proven ability to create unique member, junior and guest experience using innovative and dynamic programs. Tim enjoys spending time with his kids swimming, barbequing and attending local sporting events.

Mr. Carlson has also spent time at Doral Golf Resort & Spa as well as the Naples Grande Resort & Club, and has been named Manager of the Year during his career.

With over 12 years of golf experience in the hospitality industry, Brey prides himself on his excellent customer service skills and quick response time. His extensive knowledge of the golf industry assists him in creating the best experience possible for his guests.

    Darin Hoff, a 25 year Golf Industry veteran and PGA Certified Golf Professional, comes to Reunion from Fiddlesticks Country Club where he served as Head Golf Professional. Darin also spent over 7 years at the distinguished Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando serving as their Head Golf Professional. Having attained special distinction in multi-event management, Darin has the proven ability to create unique guest experiences using innovative and dynamic programs to meet all of your group’s needs.

Jeff has been with Reunion since 2005 and became a Golf Sales Manager in 2012. His commitment to creating the best experiences for his guests is evident throughout his work at the resort.

    Rick Galipault, Director of Catering

    Rick has over 20 years of experience in hospitality event catering and joins Innisbrook from his most recent position as Director of Catering with Embassy Suites Hotels in Arkansas where he handled all major convention accounts, as well as high profile social events in addition to his management responsibilities. Galipault's responsibilities include booking and coordination of social catering events, business meetings/events and special events at the resort. He collaborates with community and non-profit organizations on a variety of annual fundraising events and works closely with Innisbrook's executive chef and banquet service team to ensure all catered events meet a high standard of quality and creativity. Rick states what he likes best about his position is the opportunity to help people through such a wide variety of what are often “milestone events” in their lives.

    Melissa joined Innisbrook in February 2013 as Catering Manager and plays an instrumental role in the execution of an array of Catering events including weddings, social events and corporate meetings and dinners for up to 500 plus guests. Melissa's strong attention to detail and ability to build and maintain relationships with her clients makes Melissa a great asset to the Innisbrook Catering Team. Melissa brings many years of hospitality experience and great passion to exceed the guests' expectations. Melissa wants her clients to know that she has great attention to detail and a passion to exceed their expectations.
